Management survey

For owners, landlords & managers

The standard survey for any non-domestic building built before 2000, needed to manage asbestos under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. We find materials that could be damaged in normal use and maintenance, and assess their condition.

Refurbishment survey

Before building work

Needed before any refurbishment, rewiring, kitchen or bathroom refit, or anything that disturbs the fabric of the building. Intrusive inspection of the areas being worked on, so asbestos can be removed before the work starts.

Demolition survey

Before a building comes down

Needed before demolition. A fully intrusive survey of the whole building, including areas a management survey can't reach, so all asbestos can be removed safely first.

Re-inspection

Every 12 months

Asbestos that's being managed in place should be checked regularly. We re-inspect each item on your register, update its condition and risk score, and flag anything that needs action.

Bulk sampling

Just need to know about one thing?

Not sure if a particular ceiling, floor tile, pipe lagging or garage roof contains asbestos? We take samples of the materials you're worried about and send them to the lab. Not a full survey.

The material you'd like tested, the room, or the outside of the building for access. It helps us quote and bring the right kit.

Taking samples causes a small amount of damage at each sample point. Sample points are sealed afterwards but not redecorated or made good, and Sceptre Asbestos Management is not liable for repairs.

Please give us safe access to every area in the survey on the day (keys, alarm codes, loft hatches, locked rooms and plant rooms) and somewhere to park close by. Any area we can't get into is recorded as not accessed and presumed to contain asbestos, and a return visit is charged.

Your online survey results are available from the day of the survey. The full PDF report is sent once the invoice is paid. If the invoice isn't paid by the due date, online access may be paused until it is.
